Why would a small nonprofit participate as a Partner?
Many smaller nonprofit organizations have resigned themselves to the fact that “they will never have the resources to hire enough staff, to see enough people face-to-face, or to cultivate the amount of planned gifts it would take to preserve their mission into the future.” LEAVE A LEGACY™ Iowa provides these organizations with a unique opportunity and an affordable option to become meaningfully involved in planned gift marketing.
Few, if any, smaller organizations could ever hope to accomplish alone what they can and will accomplish by collaborating with other nonprofit organizations. “All boats rise with the tide.” “When we work together to help others, we strengthen ourselves.”
The annual Partner participation fee has been set at a level which makes it possible for all organizations to be involved, and also allows larger organizations to voluntarily support at a more fair level.

Organizations who have the resources to hire staff devoted specifically to planned giving understand how their investment in LEAVE A LEGACY™ as a Partner multiplies their marketing efforts. It’s called leveraging. They understand that few, if any, institutions and organizations are large enough to create and sustain the magnitude of a program like LEAVE A LEGACY™ Iowa. They also understand that the collaborative nature of LEAVE A LEGACY™ Iowa between nonprofit organizations, professional advisors, community leaders, civic groups and a variety of media outlets is unique and special, are worthy of their participation.
