LEAVE A LEGACY™ Iowa has developed a network of speakers to present a variety of topics to a diverse constituency throughout the state including nonprofit boards, donor recognition events, professional organizations, civic/service organizations and other community groups, places of worship, and general public seminars.

Representatives of nonprofit and professional advisor Partners are eligible for membership in the LEAVE A LEGACY™ Iowa Speaker’s Bureau. Candidates who complete the training become certified LAL speakers. Interested candidates must complete a membership registration form. Requests for LAL Iowa presentations are coordinated through the regional and statewide offices.

LAL 101 Introduction to LAL Iowa 2 hours A two-hour introduction seminar introducing LAL Iowa local, state, & national. For groups of nonprofit organizations and/or professional advisors.
LAL 102 New Partner Orientation & Training Seminar 1.5 hours For nonprofit & professional advisor Partners.
LAL 103 LAL Iowa 30–40 min. Intended for charitable organizations’ board & staff to learn about LAL Iowa.


General Public Seminars
LAL 201 LEAVE A LEGACY™ 20-30 min. Intended for the general public, donor, civic & service club audiences.
LAL 202 Introducing LAL Iowa 30 min. For professional advisor association groups.
LAL 203 Intro to Planned Giving 45-60 min. An overview of planned giving options. Intended for the general public.
LAL 203 Planned Giving Primer 30-40 min. Intended for charitable organizations’ board & staff to learn about the role of planned giving in fulfilling the mission of charities.
